Hiya everybody! This challenge is a normal Nuzlocke Challenge, only that all the Pokemon in the Wild are Randomized! This allways builds pretty crazy teams, finding lv 7 legendarys and such. Right now, there are randomizers avalible for Pokemon Emerald and Black/White(credit to Buzz Buzz for finding this one) Red/Blue! (thanks to bctincher15 for this.) and also Heartgold/Soulsilver!
So what you need to get started for playing emerald is: A Game Boy Advance Emulator. An Pokemon Emerald GBA ROM file. The Lastest Java runtime. A program that can extract Zip Files. And the Pokemon Emerald Randomizer program downloaded.

Inside a truck, there's a little guy sleeping, curled up like a ball. Just today it happens to be his tenth birthday, and also the day he finally gets a name. So, what would the name of this young fellow be? - Dumbuss Maximuss- Pretty funny, I have to say.
But now let's get serious! - Vato- Is that even a name? Anyways, Vato is just lying in the floor of the truck, minding his own business, thinking about many things.
Among those things, he wonders how different Littleroot Town will be from his hometown in Johto. And he's also eager to see his father, with whom he hadn't talked since he moved to Petalburgh when he became a leader. Vato yelled as he suddenly hit the boxes surrounding him. The truck had just stopped.
Why am I here, anyways? She thought, Oh, yes, MOM. He heard the door of the truck opening, Thank god! He thought, I was starting to suffocate in here! As he stood up, he took his first steps in Littleroot Town. And yes, I just began playing.
Route 101, home to extremely weak Pokemon! This route is short, but also a beautiful sight for those who are passing. This route is frequently visited by Professor Birch, who does his research about the local Pokemon. And today is the day Vato will give his firsts steps in this Route, after a boring introduction to Professor Birch's wife and daughter, who are named 'Wife' and 'May', repectively. 'La, la, la, I'm walking without a Pokemon that can protect me in the middle of the tall grass!'
Vato was yelling with joy as he extended his arms in the air. A mysterious voice interrupted his joyful stroll.
'Holy crap, what was that?' Vato immediately said.
He then went towards a chubby guy with shorts and an unbuttoned labcoat who was apparently being chased by a Zigzagoon. 'Please save me! I can't fight against that devil-ish Pokemon with my three powerful and exotic Pokemon!' Vato asked, resisting the urge to facepalm himself. 'Just take one of these Pokemon, idiot!' The man yelled. 'Wow, okay, jeez!'
Vato approached a bag that was close to the professor, and opened it: inside of it there were three Pokemon. The first Pokeball contained Brellom. The second Pokeball contained Glalie. The third one contained Ampharos. Vato could hear whispers from deep beneath the capsules. What an odd thing, he thought.
'Pick me, I love you!' Brellom said. 'No, pick me, I love you more' Ampharos said. 'I'll give you cookies!' Brellom added. 'I have Ice-Cream!'
Ampharos replied. 'Could you pick either of those morons already?! I'm trying to get some sleep!' Vato yelled after hearing the discussion, 'I choose Glalie!' The three Pokemon said in unison. A red beam of light went from the center of the Pokeball releasing a Glalie. 'Hello, Frosty!'
'Who the crap is Frosty' the Glalie replied with a cold voice tone. A battle soon started, and after Glalie killed Zigzaggon with Bite and Powder Snow, the chubby guy, who was lying in the floor, finally stood up.
'Thanks, I would be dead by now if it wasn't for you!' 'Whatever' both Vato and Glalie said in unison. 'As a sign of my gratitude, I'd like to.' The professor made a pause only to realize that both Vato and Glalie were gone. 'Where are they?' The professor asked, puzzled.
'They just went away.' Brellom said. 'Oh yes, that Trainer is also going to keep Glalie.' The Professor said, 'I spent three weeks looking for it!' 'Don't worry professor,' Ampharos said, 'I have Ice-Cream'.
There are also Randomizers for Heart Gold and Soul Silver, also in the form of AR Codes. I don't know the codes but have used them in the past and one of the first Pokemon I actually ran into was the Legendary Psychic Pokemon Mew. Before I forget though, the codes for HG/SS don't change the starters. I cant really find them when i google serach, but if you, or anyone else for that matter finds the codes. Secret games 3 1994 movie.
You can PM me the codes and I will put them in the OP. And thanks to Buzz Buzz once again, there are now codes for Heargold/soulsilver that randomizes wild Pokemon! Route 103, also known as the route you can't fully explore without Surf. Vato and Frosty are walking, trying to avoid the tall grass.
Frosty told Vato that he can only catch the first Pokemon he sees, and without Pokeballs, he won't be able to catch any Pokemon in the Route in case he spots any. Vato couldn't help but to ask why. It makes the challenge more fun. Frosty replied with her cold voice tone. Whatever he meant with the challenge remains currently unknown to Vato. As he was about to reach the end of the Route, a wild Pokemon popped out. Vato thought, he then just decided to wait for the Pokemon: it was a Meowth.
'Well, at least it wasn't a Wurmple!' Said Vato, 'Frosty, Powder Snow!' Vato turned around and saw Frosty was just lying his back over a tree. What are you doing?!' 'It's a Meowth, for god's sake, just wait for it to leave!' 'Fine, I'll fight it myself!' Vato kicked the Meowth right in his face, sending him flying towards a path of grass where Vato lost sight of it.
'Congratulations Vato,' said Frosty, 'You gained -5 experience points.' 'Pretty funny, now come with me!' 'Nah, it won't be worth the effort of getting up.' A huge shadow covered Vato, he turned around, and he found a furious Sceptile staring at him. 'Is he the guy who kicked you?' The Sceptile asked.
A Meowth popped out from the grass next to him. 'Yes, he is!'
The Meowth said, trying to hold its tears. 'Now that is just interesting.' Sceptile replied. Vato said with a voice tone that could tell that he was scared. 'I'm busy reading the newspaper.' Frosty replied.
'Wait, that doesn't make sense,' Vato quickly replied, 'You don't have arms!' Before he could continue, Vato was punched in his stomach by Sceptile, and sent flying away because of the strength of the punch.
Frosty said, dropping the newspaper she was 'holding' upon seeing Vato lying in the grass, 'I'm the only one who can do that!' Upon saying this, Frosty unleashed a huge Powder Snow that froze both Meowth and Sceptile. Frosty bit them both, causing their currently frozen bodies to shatter into pieces.
Frosty slowly approached Vato, who was sill conscious. Vato whispered.
'You didn't thought I would let you die that easy, did you?' Vato whispered. 'Get up,' Frosty said while gently tapping Vato's back with her face, indicating him to stand up, 'There's someone waiting for your arrival at the end of this Route.' Vato asked after he eventually stood up. 'I won't tell you, it'll ruin the surprise.'
Frosty said after Vato was fully incorporated over his feet. Another Pokemon defeated!' Vato exclaimed with joy 'Hooray.'
Frosty replied with a very bitter tone Still in Route 102, Vato and Frosty were both grinding for no reason at all. After a while, they finally decided that it was time to move on. At the farthest end of the route, someone was waiting for them. A girl shouted aloud, waving her hands in the air in an attempt to get Vato's attention. Vato and Frosty approached the weird girl, it was May, the professor's daughter. She was looking for more Pokemon in order to catch them and show them to her dad, just like she does each and every day. 'Hey, Vato, I have an idea!'
The girl said with eagerness, 'Let's have a battle!' Vato replied with the same excitement. 'I must warn you, I've been looking far and wide in search for Pokemon, and I've been assembling teams that can defeat each and every kind of Pokemon in the whole world! Now, go Mudkip!' 'Wait, you've got hundreds of Pokemon, and you're only using a Mudkip. Seems legit.' And approximately ten seconds later.
'Oh my god, how could I possibly lose? It's impossible!' I've been playing sloooooooowly, so yeah, Vato's journey will be a very slow one. Team: Frosty the Glalie. Part 1 of BlueSB's Hoenn Adventure! If I were to ever write a story about my life, then I would most likely start the story just right before I arrived to that small little town called Littleroot. To be more specific, the story would start with me in a moving truck that took me from all the way from my old Hometown, Goldenrod, to the dinky place where nothing happens.
At least, that's what I originally thought. You see, I'm kinda a different person than I was from that kid that just moved into Littleroot who knows how many years ago. Time is just a funny thing, I guess.
At any rate, the start of my life changing journey actually started out fairly normal. I mean, I just did little things like check out my new room, set up the clock, and memorized the map of the new region that I would be living in.
Luckily, my Gamecube was still in prime condition even with that long distance that it traveled. I mean, what else would I do if I didn't have anything else to do in a small town? Well, I guess in hindsight, I really didn't need to worry about that Gamecube seeing as I didn't quite need it to keep me busy. Meeting Professor Birch changed my life. It really did, now that I think about it.
The one domino that started the chain of events two years ago. I mean, who would have thought that meeting my new neighbors would do that much. Admittedly, I didn't think much of the Professor back then. I mean, would you think highly of someone if your mom sent you on a quest to say hi to a Pokemon Professor, only to find that he wasn't in his house or lab, and then after that seeing that he'd been attacked by a puny Zigzagoon that was out for his blood? I didn't think so. Of course, I got a lot out of saving him in the long run, with his own Pokemon, no less. When he told me to beat up that Zigzagoon for him with one of his Pokemon, I had the choice between a Castform, Manectric, and a Medicham.
To be honest with you, choosing out of those three was no contest for me. I had always been a fan of dog-like Pokemon ever since I'd seen my first Houndoor when I was a little kid. They were just always so. Cool looking. I picked the Manectric and sent him out. He actually didn't seem that surprised when he immediately saw his owner being attacked, and a few quick tackles startled the Zigzagoon to run away from us and not come back.
His name, as the Manectric told me later when there was plenty of time, was Sieg. If I had to describe Sieg in a few words, I would only be able to say that he was quite the Quirky fellow. I mean, he would tackle me for fun at the most unexpected moments, he would howl for no real reason, and sometimes, he would even want to play fetch, but not with just a branch or something reasonable. No, he would want me to throw one of the empty Pokeballs in my bags and have him fetch them. I'm sure that I failed to catch some of the Pokemon that I ran into because he always would chew on all of the Pokeballs, and I'm sure that that has to do something that would stop making them work properly. Ah well, in the end, I think all of those missed Pokemon were worth it. He became my best friend.
Oh yes, it should also be worth mentioning that the Professor offered to give me Sieg as long as I would help him out with his research along by collecting data, and I happily agreed. Of course, he told me a fundamental difference that there was in the Hoenn Laws that weren't anywhere in the Johto or Kanto laws. Apparently, trainers had become so abundant, and Pokemon became so violent that only one catch was allowed per Route. When he made sure that I understood this fact, he registered me as a trainer, and I went along my merry way. What struck me about the region as I traveled along was the vast diversity of Pokemon. Although, I didn't explore for long.
I recalled that his daughter May was out in Route 103 and wanted to see me. I dashed out there, and Sieg, who had only trained against one puny Zigzagoon, was pit against her Mudkip once I reached her.
Sieg handled it quite nicely, despite not knowing any offensive electric moves. He just paralyzed the Mudkip and proceeded to tackle it to death. Sorry, I apologize for such a horrible expression. The Mudkip just fainted from the blows. It didn't actually die. I don't want to be labeled a Pokemon Killer, here.
At any rate, she told me to go back to her father's lab to see the Professor again. Once I got there, he gave me some Pokeballs and a Pokedex.
(Sieg instantly grabbed one and chewed on it. Ah well.) Before traveling out to attempt to catch my first Pokemon on Route 103, I ended up spending all of my money on more Pokeballs and Potions. I mean, if I really had only one chance, then I would want to attempt to catch the Pokemon as much as I could, right? I was excited when I ran into my first Pokemon, a Beedrill. I can still recall clearly what that Pokemon had said to me as we were in a stand-off position about to battle each other. 'Prove your power to me, young trainer, and I will lend you my power.'
The battle was very interesting. I started off the battle by paralyzing the Beedrill and getting it down to low health. I had to chuck 7 pokeballs at it before he actually allowed me to catch him. I also had to heal up Sieg several times, of course. I think, at the end of it, the Beedrill was impressed by my patience and allowed itself to be caught.
He informed me right after I managed to catch him that his name was Buzz. I guess that it wasn't apparent at first, but Buzz was still quite young and Naive about the world at the time. I mean, he believed that he would always be alright, even if he only had one move, Fury Attack (Which I have to admit, it is powerful), and he would always be quite childish when it came to some situations. He never was able to see how serious some situations were. Training was slightly difficult with the powerful Pokemon in the region, but we managed to get the hang of it after awhile.
Once we were ready, we proceeded to move onto our next route. Many trainers wanted to battle on this route with their various bug Pokemon. I also used my favorite bug, Buzz, to battle them. The battles went smoothly until I ran into my first wild Pokemon of Route 102. I kinda blew my only chance of catching a Pokemon on that route by allowing it to use Roar. It ran away from me, and that was that. Soon, I had reached the town of Petalburg City where my father's gym was.
You see, although we moved from Johto just now, our dad had been slaving away in Hoenn as a gym leader in order to put money on the table. We got to talk every once in awhile, but I hardly ever saw him. That's why my mom decided to move us. She figured that it would be better for the both of us to live closer to my dad. It was really neat to be able to say hello to him.
I entered the gym at that point and talked to him. He suggested that I should go out there and get all of the badges and battle him someday. Just as I was about to agree and dash away, this kid named Wally entered the Gym and asked my dad to help him obtain a Pokemon. My dad asked me if I would be willing to help Wally catch a Pokemon, and I agreed.
Oddly enough, he was better at catching Pokemon than I was! Some people have all of the luck.
(Oh yes, and I have a sinking suspicion that that Zigzagoon that Dad loaned to Wally was the same one that attacked the Professor. Must be an ongoing joke between two old friends.) I then said my goodbyes to my Dad and went out into Route 104. On Route 104, I bumped into a female Slowbro.
After easily catching her, she told me that her name was Jazz, and that her whole family lived in this small route and that she wanted out. Although Jazz is Naive like Buzz, she is more Naive about love than anything else. Although, that has nothing to do with battling, it is worth noting. We then journeyed through Petalburg Woods where I stumbled upon a Vulpix.
Her name is Cream, and apparently, she was orphaned at a young age due to her parents being viciously being destroyed by other Pokemon in the woods. Despite this, Cream might be the most Relaxed member of the team. Further into the woods, I was dragged into an interesting event.
This worker at Devon Goods was apparently getting attacked by a Team Aqua member, one of the gangs of Hoenn. (And here I thought that Team Rocket was pathetic.) Cream, without me saying anything, leaped out of her Pokeball and burnt the Poocheana. The Aqua member ran away quickly after seeing that display, and the worker thanked me repeatedly. After that, I was on my way to Rustboro.
On my way there, I experienced my first Double Battle. It was really a new experience for me. I mean, people never had double battles where I came from. We actually did really well, surprisingly enough.
Right when we got to Rustboro, we checked out the Gym just to see what exactly it was all about. The gym seemed to specialize in rock type Pokemon. While I was thinking about how to defeat the gym properly, Jazz informed me that she could learn how to use water gun, if I would just allow her to train for awhile in the Woods back where we came from. While out training, we happened to run into an interesting sight.
Turns out, the legendary of the skies of Hoenn likes to troll new trainers whenever Mew turns his back. At the most random moments, he would come up and talk to me about how Mew is such a slave driver for forcing him to watch these two orbs of mass destruction for all of time. No wonder he likes to bother random trainers. I would do the same thing, if only to slack off on a stupid job like that.
Well, then again, that job is kinda important. After a full day of training, Jazz finally learned Water Gun. Now, it was time to take on Roxanne.
To Be Continued It's worth to mention, that I was too lazy to include the trainer battles that I did in the gym prior to getting Water Gun. In the double battle using Sieg and Jazz, I would put one Geodude to sleep by using yawn, and while Jazz would spam tackle, I would make Sieg use Leer over and over again. Took a long time, but it worked out after awhile.

I must admit, I was getting a bit tired of playing the same old Pokemon games. Yes, they are fun, but it’s always the exact same thing. Are you a boy or a girl?
Great, here is your monster, now go defeat 8 gym masters, beat a Team Rocket Clone on the way and become a Pokemon master. This is why I decided to try this challenge. As far as I understand it, the challenge was thought of by Ruby, the owner of the Nuzlocke Comics blog.
He decided to play Pokemon Ruby with this set of rules and drew a comic while doing it. The name Nuzlocke came from a character in the comic (heavy Lost references).
Anyways, his, and the other challenge comics he collects are really fun to read, so I heavily recommend those. There are many variations to the rules of the Nuzlocke Challenge, some easier and some harder. Being new to this, I decided to try one of the easier set of rules:. Can only catch one Pokemon per route.
All floors of the same cave count as one area. If a wild Pokemon faints before I catch him, I forfeited that area. After I get the first Pokeball, I have to catch the first Pokemon I encounter on every route. Once a Pokemon dies, I need to either release him or put him in one of the PC Boxes, never to be used again. Pokemon from trades or acquired by methods other than catching in the wilderness are not allowed The game that I decided to try this set of rules on is Pokemon Fire Red.
I prefer the first set of Pokemon and the graphics in this remake are a major improvement from the original. Also, since I am playing this on an emulator, I plan to use the fastf orward feature heavily to save time on loading and battle scenes. The rewind feature is, of course, disabled.
After saying all this, I think it’s time to start the game. Let’s get it on!
Session Start 15.6.2010, 00:15 I named my trainer Red in the style of the original comic, and my rival Dick for the fun of it. As my starter, I chose Charmander and nicknamed it Libby. Following the regular story, I went to the next town to get a parcel for professor Oak and got it back to him. He gave me the Poxedex. I got 5 Pokeballs and caught Rattata on Route 1. I named it Kate. I decided to train both Kate and Libby to level 8 before continuing.
This included lots of trips to the Pokemon Center, but thanks to this, Kate learned Quick Attack which will be really useful. I proceeded to route 2 and, what a surprise, I caught another Rattata. This was another female, so I named it Clare. I trained her to level 8 as well. Next, I proceeded to Viridian forest where I caught a Kakuna, which I named Rousso. All that Rousse knew was Harden, so there was really no point training it for now.
In the forest, I raised Kate and Clare to level 10 and Libby to level 14. Arriving to Pewter City, Rousso was level 6. Pewter City is the location of the first, Rock type gym. I foolishly decided to just go for it and lost Libby and Rousso. They will both be mourned deeply (well, more Libby than Rousso).
May they rest in peac It was time to move on to the next town. I proceded through Route 3 and Mount Moon, catching a Pidgey called Missy and a Zubat called Sally on the way, respectively. As you can see, it was here that I quit with the Lost naming scheme because I was getting an unusual amount of females. I wish it was the same in real life.
Being quite late in the night, or early in the morning, depending on how you look at it, I decided to end my session here. Session End 15.6.2010. 00:59 Session Start 15.6.2010.
10:55 Starting this session, I have cleared Mount Moon completely and got the Dome fossil. Proceeding on Route 4, I caught another Rattata, this time a male and named it Charley. I was finally in Cerulean city. This is where I unexpectedly stumbled into Dick and was forced to battle him. Sadly, I lost Clare in the battle. Being shaken up by this, I decided to do some training.
I trained Missy and Sally to 22. Sally evolved to a Golbat. This being Fire Red, for now this was the final stage of her evolution. Bolstered by training I went on to defeat the second gym leader, Misty, a water trainer. I suffered no losses and earned my second badge. I proceeded to Route 24 where I caught a Catterpie. I forgot to name it, but it doesn’t really matter because, even though I evolved it to a Beautifly lightning fast, I also lost it lightning fast in a regular trainer battle due to a critical hit.
At the end of Route 24 I’ve found Bills house, the creator of the PC system. After helping him with a teleportation issue, he gave me his ticket for a boat. I proceeded to Route 5, where I caught a level 15 Pidgey named Rodger (yes, typo, I know). I decided to put Charley in the Day-Care center because I’m getting swamped with Rattatas.
I caught another Pidgey on Route 6. This one was level 16 and I decided to name him Mark. I arrived to Vermilion City, where I boarded the S.S.Anne.
I fought a bunch of trainers on the ship, including Dick again and I helped the ship Captain, who then gave me HM01 Cut in return. I left the ship early, not knowing it would leave, so I missed a few trainer battles.
Cut was taught to Kate, so now I could enter Gym 3. This one was an Electric type and was won with no casualties. I proceeded to Route 9 where I accidentally killed a level 9 Rattata with a critical Quick Attack. As far as I care, good riddance. I just hope I won’t lack any Pokemon later. Later on Route 10, I caught an Ekans and called him Paul.
Pokemon Fire Red Nuzlocke Randomizer Download
Next was Rock Tunnel where I caught a Geodude and called it Anna. Session End 15.6.2010. 11:44 Session Start 15.6.2010. 15:45 I switched Rodger out for Anna, thinking a rock type would be way more useful. I arrived at Lavender town where I bought a bunch of Great Balls and restocked on other consumables. Lavender town is the location of the Pokemon Tower, which is a Pokemon graveyard.
I encountered Dick again, but managed to defeat him with no casualties. After exploring most of the Pokemon tower, I encountered a ghost who wouldn’t let me proceed. I guess I need an item to clear this area. It was time to leave Lavender Town for now.
On my way through routes 8 and 7, I caught a Pidgey named Adolf and a Meowth named Mietzi. I arrived at Celadon City.
While exploring it, I managed to get a Coin Case and acquire an Evee. Since I can’t use Pokemon not caught in battle, I stored it in the PC. The Gym 4, a Grass type gym was located in Celadon City. I defeated the leader, Erika easily thanks to Missy.
After this I proceeded to Route 16 where I managed to kill a Doduo with Quick Attack again. Also, Missy evolved. Somewhere along the way, I managed to get HM02 Fly and taught it to Mark. I’ve also found the secret hideout of Team Rocket where I fought and defeated Giovanni and got the Sylph Scope. With the Scope, I went back to the Pokemon Tower and managed to catch a level 16 Ghastly who I named Casper.
I calmed the Ghost at the top and it turned out it was a Marowak. Team Rocket was holding Mr. Fuji on the top so he gave me the Pokemon Flute for saving him. An old lady in Celadon City gave me some tea, which I then handed to one of the guard blocking the road to Safron city.
He said he would share it with the other four guards so now all the routes are open. The Safron City gym was blocked by Team Rocket, but there was a fighting dojo next to it, which I also managed to clear and got a Hitmonlee in the process. Of course, I had to send it to the PC. After all this, I went to Sylph Co. Which was also being controlled by Team Rocket. I fought them for a while, but I decided it was still too dangerous for me, so I got out. I used the Flute to awaken a Snorlax, which opened another route for me.
On Route 18, I lost another Doduo to Quick Attack. I managed to get to Fuchsia city, which was the home of the Safari Zone. I decided catching Safari Pokemon was against the rules, since it doesn’t include a real battle. Fuchsia City was also the home of another Gym, this time a Poison type. It was a really tough battle, which forced me to use most of my potions, but in the end, I managed to win it with no casualties. Session End 15.6.2010.

17:34 Session Start 15.6.2010. 20:07 Since I got my fifth badge, I decided I was brave enough to tackle the Sylph Co. This is a huge building with, I think, 12 floors weirdly connected with various teleporters and stairs.
In the end, I managed to do it, defeated Giovanni again and also got the Master Ball. Next I got to Gym 6 and defeated the psychic, Sabrina, also with no losses. Wing attack is an awesome attack! Since I had to learn Surf to proceed, I had to go to Safari Zone to get it. I did catch a few Pokemon just for my Poxedex, but they all instantly went to the PC. Since none of my Pokemon can learn surf, I have to catch one on a water route I haven’t been to yet.
Session End 15.6.2010. 22:37 Session Start 16.6.2010. 12:45 The water route in question was Route 19 and I caught an awesome Pokemon, Krabby, which I then named Rick. I’m not sure where exactly I managed to get the Good Rod to catch it, but I was probably a fisherman in some random house, like all other Pokemon games.
I trained him to 28 and he evolved to a Kingler. Next I went to the Seafoam Islands cave, where I caught a Psyduck named Erica. I explored the cave for a bit, but I think I need the Strength HM to continue so I got out. On Route 21 I killed a Tangela with curse. I Tried 3 Ultra Balls, but I didn’t manage to catch it before it died. Eventually I arrived at Cinabar Island.
There was a laboratory on the island so I left my Dome Fossil there to get resurrected. Next up was Pokemon Mansion, which was a tough area. I caught a Growlithe in there and named it Jessica. After the mansion, it was time to go to Gym 7, where I defeated a fire leader. I must say, Rick was an awesome asset here. Outside the gym, Bill was waiting to take me to One island.
For now I could visit the One, Two and Three islands. I managed to help some people there, but I also failed to catch any Pokemon, killing them by accident instead. Since all of this was for nothing, I decided to go back to Veridian city to tackle the final Gym. This was a ground type gym so Rick was very awesome again. I won with absolutely no difficulties. This means I have 8 badges now, so it’s time to go to the Pokemon League.
First stop – Victory Road. Off course, before all that, I had to fight stupid Dick again. I beat him with no casualties, but his Blastoise was pretty tough. After solving lots of puzzles, I finally managed to get out of Victory Road and got to the League area.
Since I can now fly from here and back, I decided I have to train my Pokemon before I tackle the elite four. First I tried grinding at Victory Road, but that got boring really fast. Then I decided to use the VS Seeker to do repeat battles with trainers I’ve fought before, but I couldn’t find any that were high enough level. Still, I explored a bunch of routes and areas I haven’t visited before, and caught a few nice Pokemon. Still, none of them were good enough to replace anyone from my main team. Among other things, I got a bunch of levels and evolved Casper. Also, Rick learned his Crabhammer attack.
Session End 15.6.2010. 17:13 Session Start 17.6.2010. 13:31 At this point, I was really short on time because exams were closing in so I decided to just go for the Elite Four. As it turns out it wasn’t that hard. I had a bunch of Potions, Ethers and status restoring items, so, with Rick being level 75, I managed to go through all four with no major issues.
I was so happy about this I forgot that I also need to kick Dick’s ass for the last time. He wasn’t that hard either, at least for the first 5 of his Pokemon. Blastoise, though, was a bitch. I managed to lose two of my team members before Rick finally managed to finish him with the last of his strength.

I entered my team into the Hall of Fame and Professor Oak managed to give a major scolding to Dick for, well, being a dick. I waited through the credits so I can save my game, but the emulator crashed at that point, I guess I won’t be playing the after game. Session End 15.6.2010. 13:58 Final Words Well, as you can see, I managed to complete my first Nuzlocke Challenge, and it wasn’t hard at all. I guess I will have to try some tougher rules next time, but for now, I can add this one to my completed list.
I must say, playing the game this way was really fun. If you want to spice up your Pokemon sessions, I really recommend you to try this. Also, I promise to keep a more detailed log of my journey on my next attempt at a challenge like this.
Pokemon Red/Blue Randomizer After the rousing success that was the Pokemon Emerald Randomizer, I decided to take a crack at doing the same thing for a different gen. Gen 1 was always a good contender for me since I grew up with it, so the Red/Blue Randomizer was born!
This time, I tried pulling all of the stops by randomizing not only the wild pokemon, but also the trainer pokemon, TMs, movesets, palettes, trainer names, and much more! Overview Pokemon Red and Blue are the two initial releases of 's long-running. Developed by, Red and Blue were the studio's first major successes; the company would eventually go on to create several direct sequels to the games for Nintendo's portable consoles the followed the. Although the official number of was often touted to be 150 in the games' marketing, the actual number of acquirable Pokemon was 151, albeit with the caveat that the additional creature couldn't be acquired through normal means. Bulbasaur, the grass-type starter pokemon. Storyline The basic premise of Pokemon Red and Blue involves a who sets off on a journey to thoroughly train, catch, trade, and ultimately master as many Pokemon as he can. After acquiring one of three Pokemon from;, or, and then fighting a subsequent training battle with his rival, the main character sets off to explore the world to fulfill his goals.
In order to achieve ultimate success, he must use his Pokemon team to fight and defeat eight Gym Leaders, specialists who each deal in a specific type of Pokemon, as well as the Elite Four. Only after all of that has been achieved does the story technically end. Gameplay Mechanics Most are acquired by 'catching' them while they are still out and about in the wild. They can be found by the player simply roaming about in the Pokemons' native habitats, which usually happens by walking around in grass, swimming around in a body of, or in other similar instances. Once a battle has been initiated, it is up to the player to weaken the wild Pokemon's (HP) enough so that they can throw a at them.
Pokeballs are the containers which hold each trainer's Pokemon and as long as the wild Pokemon cannot break free from one, it can be freely used by the trainer who owns it. If a trainer's team is full at the time of the capture, the newly acquired Pokemon is then sent to a PC for storage and can be retrieved at a later point in time.
Captured Pokemon can also be given nicknames, although doing so is optional. Typical JRPG gameplay Pokemon Red and Blue's battle system consists of gameplay mechanics which are common with many turn-based Japanese RPGs.
Up to six Pokemon can be a part of a trainer's roster at any time, which is where the game's defining characteristics come into play. Since each Pokemon can have a (i.e: fire, water, electric, etc.) a system of strengths and weakness is employed, in addition to the standard calculations based on their individual statistics. Every attack is also assigned a type, which is also taken into consideration during battle. Although most Pokemon have limitations regarding which attacks they can learn, they are allowed to learn some which aren't the same as their type. No attack can be used an infinite number of times, though, as the amount of usage is dependent upon the amount of Power Points (PP) each attack has. These Power Points can be restored either through the use of specific items or by visiting a Pokemon Center, which is also used to fully heal a trainer's current roster of Pokemon.
Typical battle scene As the Pokemon enter into battles and continue to win them, they gain. Once they accumulate a specified amount, they, which serves two purposes. Leveling up your Pokemon in Red and Blue allows most Pokemon to learn new attacks which can be added to their arsenal, in addition to raising their individual statistics. However, because each Pokemon is limited to four different attacks, considerations must be made as they reach progressively higher levels.
Leveling up also allows most Pokemon to, enabling them to become a new species. The point at which each Pokemon may evolve is different depending on the species, although the trainer is allowed to prevent a Pokemon from doing so if they desire. One such advantage which comes from canceling an evolution is that more advanced and powerful attacks can be learned earlier if the Pokemon doesn't evolve, assuming the attack can still be learned in an evolved form. With Pokemon, though, it is not always possible to evolve them via leveling up. In those instances, special stones can be given to the Pokemon to force them to evolve. The most famous Pokemon in the Red and Blue versions which are able to do this include and, the latter of which has multiple evolutions depending on the stone applied.
Some Pokemon still do not evolve in this manner, however, which is elaborated upon below. Outside of battling, one of the defining traits of Pokemon Red and Blue is its trading feature. Because Red and Blue each have Pokemon which are exclusive to their individual versions, collecting all of the Pokemon requires trading with someone who owns the alternative version.
Trading is done by connecting the two via a link cable. Each person then decides which Pokemon they wish to trade and the duo's choices are transferred.
With a few very specific Pokemon, the trading process allows them to evolve once the switching is complete. Although traded Pokemon are under the command of their new trainer, they still carry identification which indicates who originally had them. Two linked Game Boys can also be used by trainers to battle one another.
The majority of the rules which govern battle in the single-player game remain the same, although items cannot be used in linked battles. Skirmishes are otherwise the same, with a winner being declared once one trainer's entire team of Pokemon has fainted. Onix has no evolutions in this game but is rock-type like Golem. To catch a MissingNo was a very simple process.
In the town with the final gym you are to talk to the old man who teaches you to catch pokemon. You must talk to him three time and when he asks you if you want to learn to catch pokemon you must say no the first two times and then say yes the third. After you watch him catch a weedle then fly to Cinnibar Island and surf on the right edge of the island and don't leave the edge.
Once a pokemon battle happens you can run into a MissingNo or one of the glitched pokemon over level 100. Some weird things that will happen to your game when you catch a MissingNo is that the item in your 6th item slot will be duplicated to over 99. Also when you go to check your battle history of the Elite Four it wil be all glitched. If MissingNo gains one level the he will evolve into a level 1 Kangaskhan. PokeGods Along with MissingNo there were always rumors about such pokemon called PokeGods. These pokemon were beleived to be obtainable in many ways but were never true.
Some rumored ways of getting these pokemon where to get access to Bill's Garden which was suppost to be a secret place behind Bill's hosue and you could catch many powerful pokemon there. Another rumored way was to get access to the PokeGods City. This was a place that would be accessable to you after you have beaten the Elite Four 50 times in a row without saving or healing, Professor Oak would saying something like 'I'm getting tired of this' and let you roam around the ending area and you would find a ladder to the city. This is also not true. The more viable option was the truck off to the side before you get on the S.S Ann.
This was possible by finding a way to surf before acutally boarding the SS Ann. In the back of the truck were rumored to be a Mew and a Togepi. Togepi actually turned out to be a real pokemon in Silver and Gold. Another pokegod that turned out to be real was Pikablu. This pokemon turned out to be, the little blue water pokemon.
Some of the PokeGods were rumored to be the names listed below (this is only a few of the many pokegods):. Charcolt. Rainer. Sapusaur. Locustud.
Mewthree. Pikablu. Chrono Mew. Sandswipes. Nidogodess Some PokeGods were to be belived to evolve from already fully evolved pokemon using an item called a Mist Stone. But the Mist Stone was also another rumour that is not true.
